Line Supplies was founded in 1989
as a quality supplier to the catering trade in the Teesside
area. The company was created to add value to the supply
chain in response to the demand of the growing number
of food outlets in the area. In 2002 DLS was established
as a corporate limited company and
has expanded its capacity with bases in Teesside and
Tyneside enabling to extend its services across Scotland, the North of England
and down to the Midland areas. Direct Line Supplies
Ltd is now one of the North East’s leading and
most innovative catering suppliers providing
an ever expanding product list combined with competitive
prices, maintaining its first rate service, tailored
to customer requirements.
At
DLS we are forever adapting and developing our strategies
allowing us to continue to provide our customers with
high quality products and service,
in the ever changing and demanding food catering market
environment. We aim to carry on developing, researching
and broadening our business scope maintaining our promise
to excellence in customer service.
In
2002 our quality management system was certified to
ISO 9001
in the purchase, storage and distribution of food areas
in our company. Combined with our above Excellence
rating in food safety and hygiene standards, through
local authority certification, further outlines our
commitment to excellence.
We
at DLS realise that to achieve our goals and continue
our success and achievements, we must develop and train
our own people, helping us to attain better results
and provide a better service. In 2009 we were nominated
as finalists for the Best Small Enterprise Awards
in the North East by Colas (>Lsc).
